THE OPINION OF CHAD NESBITT - DR. TIM JOHNSON AND THE SNAKES IN THE GRASS | News
Buncombe County Republicans mean a lot to me and the Carolina Stompers.
They are passionate, full of stamina, and truly care about the future of America.

But I should tell you, there are few RINO attorneys and fat cats that care more about their ego and the power they try to hold over people than they do a positive future. They use certain people as their mouth piece and one of these people is named Steve Duncan.

Duncan is the Chairman of the 11th Congressional District Republicans.

Here is a picture of Steve and I.
I rolled over a log and snatched him up.

Yes Steve is a true snake in the grass.

After BCGOP Chairman Mike Harrison resigned, there were some Republicans that wanted to appoint Mark Delk as chairman. I and others had a problem with that not because he was a convicted felon that served almost 2 years in prison ,but because, (in our opinion), he was to close to the Democrats.

During Delks trial, the NC State Democrat Chairman Senator Herbert Hyde was his attorney.
Out of all the attorneys in Western NC, Delk confides with the NC Democrat Party Chairman?
Furthermore, Delk, (an attorney himself), was disbarred from the NC Bar Association but currently sits at the right hand of one of the largest contributors to the Democrat Victory Fund, attorney Wade Hall. Why?
And why would no other attorney in town vouch for Delk so that he could get his law license back?

Steve Duncan fought tooth and nail to get Delk appointed even after knowing of his criminal history and ties with the Democrat party.

Concerned Republicans went to the 11th Congressional District meeting held at Ryans Steak House to discuss our concerns about Delks appointment. But to our surprise Steve Duncan threw all non committee members out in the lobby. With our absence, Duncan went on with his support of Delk and got him appointed.

Here are pictures of us standing in the lobby while our food got cold and the meeting went on. This was the first time I met Dr. Tim Johnson and this was his first meeting ever with the local Republicans.
Can you imagine the shock he had being thrown out of his first meeting? What a welcome.

A year went by and Dr. Johnson was elected Chairman of the BCGOP.
He was like a fresh breath of air.
Johnson was motivated, inspirational, and brought in young talented people to make some big changes that needed to be made. In doing so, he rattled the feathers of the old guard. This guard were not doers.
They were losers. They did nothing but nag, nag, nag and they had a little power nitch with past Congressman Charles Taylor.

When Johnson decided to run for Vice Chairman of the NC State Republican Party these power hungry losers felt threatened. So they dug into Johnsons past and found an assault charge on Johnsons ex-wife that had occurred over 10 years ago. These losers again used Steve Duncan to be their mouth piece and Duncan went on WLOS bad mouthing Johnson. Johnson immediately addressed the record and his ex-wife came out in support of Johnson’s election to the NC State Party.

When Duncan was asked about why he supported Mark Delk, (after knowing he was a convicted felon) and not Dr. Johnson, Duncan claimed that he asked Delk “not to run again“, “that it would be bad for the party“.

If Duncan was so concerned about the party, why would he allow Delk to be the Western North Carolina spokesperson for Senator Dole? Why would he allow Delk to be an elector to vote for the President of the United States in the Electoral College? Duncan is a liar.

After seeing the great things Dr. Johnson had been doing with the BCGOP and comparing it with the smear campaign these losers were trying to do to Johnson, I started thinking that there is something more here.
It became clear to me that this old guard did not want to be led by a black man.

These losers realized they could not beat back Johnson so they made up lies that spread across the state. They claimed that Dr. Johnson was never in the military and was not a doctor.

Just like the Obama administration, the losers used a close reporter to help instigate the lies 1 week before Johnsons election. This reporter is Bill Fishburn of the Asheville Tribune.

Fishburn called Dr. Johnson and told him that he wanted to see the proof, (a DD2-14 form), that he was a military officer and a Doctor. Fishburn led on that he wanted to know for himself and not the Tribune.
But he showed up with a pad of paper and a camera.

Thank God for Don Yelton!
Yelton heard about the meeting and showed up with a video camera.
He video taped the entire meeting and Dr. Johnson showed the proof.
Johnson was hot and I don't blame him and as far as I know, no other officers of the BCGOP were ever asked to show their military credintials.
Below is a portion of the meeting held at Denny’s on Patton Ave.

Fishburn put his story on the front page of the Tribune. He told the truth
but he slanted it to cover his own ass. I think he relized he had been busted for what his real motive was and that was to discredit Johnson.
Like I said, thank God Don Yelton was there with a video camera.

In the end, Steve Duncan and the losers lost.
Johnson went on to win, (overwhelmingly),
the Vice Chairmanship of the NC State Republican Party.

Liberal news papers across the state use the old Republican snakes lies about Johnson to stir up propaganda.
They never once mention that Dr. Johnson is the first African American to ever hold such a high position in the NC Republican Party. Asheville's Mountain Xpress is the only paper in the state to reconize it.

Dr. Johnson is the real deal. A Cristian with a strong faith. He is backed by his wife, (one of the strongest women I have ever seen), and hundreds of close friends. It would not surprise me to see Dr. Johnson standing up for our rights on Capital Hill someday.

May God Bless Dr. Tim Johnson and his family.

When I saw that WLOS interview with Steve Duncan I thought to myself that there was something wrong here.

I think you are right Chad. Race and ego is the problem. Thank you for helping Tim and keep on fighting these people. They have no business as leaders in my party.
